Banana Split Cookies

These simple cookies have a French vanilla cake base, candied pineapple, cherries, walnuts and chocolate chips to give them a true banana split appeal.

Ingredients:

• 1 box French vanilla cake mix
• 1 egg
• 1/2 teaspoon banana extract
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup chopped candied pineapple
• 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
• 1/2 cup walnuts
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Mix cake mix, egg and butter with an electric mixer. Add a dash of water, if needed, to obtain cookie dough texture. On stir setting, add pineapple, cherries, walnuts and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonful on parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
