Macaroon Brooms

Macaroons and pretzels form mini broom sticks--a perfect Halloween treat.

Ingredients:

• 12 large pretzel sticks
• 12 large coconut macaroons
• 12 oz chocolate chips, milk or semisweet, melted
• 2 cups mini pretzel sticks
• Small tubes red, orange or black decorator icing

Directions:

Form macaroon around one end of a large pretzel stick. Place melted chocolate in a bowl, and dip macaroon end in chocolate. Break mini pretzels and place around to form broom straw. Cool upright on parchment then chill. Pipe icing around top of broom straw to decorate.

Number of Servings: 12

Notes from the Cook: To make chocolate harden more, reserve 1/4 chips and stir into melted chocolate until smooth before using. You can also use butterscotch or peanut butter chips for a change.
