The perfect Halloween treat--pumpkin cookies frosted with powdered sugar icing.
Blend together white sugar and butter. Slowly add milk until mixture is very creamy. Fold egg into batter. Add brown sugar, almond extract and pumpkin, then incorporate into batter with minimum mixing necessary. Sift together all purpose flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Fold into batter until fully incoporated. Drop rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 11 minutes. When cooled, frost with colored icings into shapes of spooky creatures.
