This non-alcoholic version of the old European wintertime beverage uses pomegranate, apple and orange juices, flavored with whole spices.

Ingredients:

Insert 4 cloves in each orange slice and set aside. Combine pomegranate juice, apple juice, orange juice and cinnamon sticks in a large pot over medium heat. Allow to become steaming hot, but do NOT boil. Float clove-studded orange slices on top. Ladle into mugs. Serve immediately.

Notes from the Cook: For adults, a small amount of wine or your favorite alcoholic beverage can be poured into mugs.
