A savory side dish for a special dinner-pearl onions in a creamy sauce, topped with parmesan cheese, broiled until golden brown.

Directions:

Place cooked onions into a buttered casserole dish and cover with onion sauce. Melt butter over medium heat and cook 2 tsp onion until lightly browned. Stir in flour. Remove from heat and stir in rest of ingredients, except parmesan cheese. Cook and stir all together until thickened. Thin with water if necessary. Pour over cooked pearl onions, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and place under broiler until lightly browned.
