A rich chocolate cake with a hint of cinnamon and cloves.
Cream shortening and sugar, then beat in egg yolks one at a time. Add flour, cinnamon, cloves, chocolate and baking powder. Add milk and fold in egg whites. Bake at 375 degrees F, in two greased 9 inch cake pans or in a tube pan, for approximately 25-30 min or until done.
