Cooked sweet potato slices and apple wedges are baked together in a casserole with a sauce of sugar, butter, cornstarch, lemon juice, and orange juice.
Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt together in saucepan. Pour boiling water over above and stir. Add butter, lemon juice and orange juice. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Pour over yams and apples that have been layered in a large casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
