A chocolate cake mix is prepared and baked, then topped with a melted marshmallow-coconut mixture, and drizzled with a combination of heated chocolate chips, evaporated milk and butter, and sprinkled with toasted sliced almonds.
Bake chocolate cake as directed on package in a 13x9 pan. Combine in medium saucepan 1 cup evaporated milk and 1 cup sugar, bring to a boil and stir in marshmallows until melted. Add 1 package coconut, pour this over cake while both are hot. Heat together the remaining milk, butter and chocolate chips. Stir until melted and add toasted almond slices. Pour on top of warm cake. (Better if made the day before serving).
