A batter of flour, baking powder, egg, milk, whole kernel corn, and oil is dropped by spoonfuls into deep hot fat and fried until golden. The fritters are served with maple syrup.

Beat egg in large bowl. Stir in milk, corn, and oil. Combine and beat in flour, baking powder, and salt. Drop by tablespoons into hot oil and fry to a golden brown. Drain. Serve with maple syrup.
